| The book is cute and the text is fun. However, I bought this book expecting the illustrations to be as creative and detailed as Dinosaur Roar. It was a let down in comparison. |

| this is a great book. my son LOVED it when he first got it. unfortunately the other reviews i read about it's durability didn't stand up so well. my 3 year old ripped 2 of the pop-ups the same day. nothing a little super glue couldn't fix, but i was really counting on the reviews of others as far as the durability went. but it's a wonderful book and he loves it! |

| I am 13 years old. My parents gave me this book as a gift when I was in the 1st grade and year after year I never grow tired of following this books wonderful story and looking at the bright and detailed pictures. This is a beautiful story about a little polar bear who stumbles into Santa's den and ends up helping Santa prepare for Christmas. This book is so much fun to read no matter how old you are! | This book is lots of fun. One highlight for us is rhyming verse so bad it's good. For example, rhyming "motor" with "telescopic loader". If that's not great poetry, what is?
There are lots of great pop-ups with more detail than many kids' books about construction. Finally, there is one picture that makes my sister-in-law laugh until she cries. | This book is a hit with boys and girls age 2-3. Highly recommend. Flowing prose, GREAT and kind of surprisingly eye-popping pop ups. Kids will be more fascinated and less likely to tear this one, but still read it with supervision if you want it to last. My daughter almost pulled the truck off because she wanted to "see the engine." The engine. Under the hood. Made of paper. She would have been very very sad had she actually torn the thing.
