| Even though it isnt the newest version, the book is VERY similar to the 8e. Easy to understand. Have used it in 2 bio classes (one in high school and now in college). |

| First, let me say that, early on in the semester, I became disenchanted with the class I was using Campbell's book for (general biology). It was pretty evident that one of the main intentions of the class was to weed out students, and so I didn't find it very appealing; however, if you are unsure about which facet of biology you're interested in (or if you're interested at all), then the class might hold some value for you.

| Just in case you bought one with CD, the CD installation software starts with Windows IE4 software installation. It would not work on most of the computers nowadays. However, the activities and quizzes are still valuable. They are in html format which can be opened with the latest Windows IE version or another internet browser such as Firefox. | I paid about fifty dollars for a brand new book because I needed everything with it. I receive it in the mail two weeks after I ordered it and it is not a new book. There are stickers all in it, torn pages and markings throughout it. I am not pleased with this product and I do not plan on using Amazon again. Thank you. |

| The seller had sent the book in time, which has been well kept and almost like new. however the CD which comes along with the book was missing. |

| I love reading this book. It is very informative and easy to understand for someone who didn't study science but is interested in biology, like me. You can read only a short section (or module) at a time whenever you have time. |

| The book is everything I expected, except for the tape on front of the cover. I tried to remove the tape and lo and behold, the printing under the tape says "FREE COPY". I don't think it's right to get a free copy of a book from the publisher then sell it. So although I'm pleased with the book, I'm disappointed in the deception. |
