| As an adult, this has become my favorite children's book. My children loved this story on the DVD that Scholastic offers featuring Maurice Sendak stories. I think viewing this DVD, makes this book better since it lends a sing-song read to it afterwards. My kids & I love to quote the book when baking, singing "milk in the batter! milk in the batter! stir it! scrape it! make it! bake it!" |

| My daughter has been somewhat obsessed with the Little Bear tv show on Noggin for almost a year now. It's all she watches so when I saw these books I was really excited. We got them for her for Christmas and she just loves them.
I reccommend the books cuz they are sweet stories about Little Bear and his friends and family. |

| My son is 4 years old and afraid of the dark and monsters. He enjoys reading this book (me reading it to him) since he likes the character actually visiting the monsters and overcoming them. I think its a great book for kids his age. |

| My two sons (5-year old and 4-year old) have enjoyed this book now for a couple years. They see themselves as "little bears" and enjoy adding their own imagination to the book's storylines.
I really liked the "Birthday Soup" chapter best and have used it to teach my sons that no matter how little you have, you always have enough to share. | I use this book every January with my music students. We read the book, analyze the rhymes and rhythms but most of all....we enjoy the song by Carole King. If you're thinking of getting this book, you MUST, MUST, MUST get the Carole King sound track to go with it. (Also, see the video on YouTube!!!)
