| It's great to have the use of the internet, but having an actual book in front of you to hold and read and flip through the pages is so much more appealing to me. This is a great starter encyclopedia for children to have from age 7 and up. It's great for homeschoolers also. | When the toddler I care for asked for "pig books," I scoured the library for a version of "The Three Little Pigs" that didn't involve any of the pigs being eaten. This edition, while lacking in some of the traditional wording ("Not by the hairs on my chinny-chin-chin!" comes to mind), is fast-paced and gentle enough for a child under three--and the illustrations are cute, too. |
