| L.A. Banks provides a great back story on Jose and Juanita in this story. WORTH THE READ if you are into the Vampire Huntress Legend series! And Kenyon delivers a quirky Dracula infused Dark Hunter tale. A fun short story but not too much detail on anything that comes up again in the Dark Hunter stories later on.
The other ladies added fun and steamy short stories for your delicious consumption as well. ENJOY! This anthology is a good one. |

| L.A. Banks shows us the early days of Rider and Tara in this anthology. If you are into the Vampire Huntress Legend series you need to read this. You'll love Rider even more for the rough, tough, harley ridin, jack drinkin, sweetheart that we have come to know through series. Kenyon puts out a great Dark Hunter short story about Dante and his mate Pandora in this anthology. You get visits from Acheron and Simi in this one as well. | Bad Blood is an awesome tale. Weaved from campfire ghost stories & present day events like cell manipulation & gov't black ops, this book is a brilliant read & a great new series to replace the VHLS, which is nearing an end. LA is the best writer in this genre in my opinion. She has a poetic, lyrical style that makes reading her books like watching a movie. | Tanya Huff- "Music Hath Charms"- A bit confusing and not interesting in the least.
Marjorie Liu "Minotaur in Stone"- Slow start and rocky middle. The story is a bit to romancey for me. The usage of Greek mythology is the redeeming factor that made this story a bit interesting. | With rapt anticipation, I've read the Huntress series much like I watched the Chapter pictures back in the day, always a battle of good versus evil. And after eleven books I am still anxious. | I enjoyed all three stories in the book and found myself wishing each story was a novel on its own. I would ask each author to please expand on these stories.
I know I am not giving anything away when I say that one of the lines in Brandon Massey's story had me on the floor laughing. The line goes, "I prefer my poster pedic." Give these stories a try, you will be glad you did. |

| I'm a big fan of novels of the preternatural. Anne Rice, for example, was probably one of the first writers that created vampires that broke out of the stereotypical role first created by Bram Stoker. Laurell K. Hamilton has done a great job in her own right in her portrayal of her preternatural creatures in the Anita Blake series, as has Stephenie Meyer for the YA crowd in the Twilight Saga.

| I love the L.A. Banks Vampire Huntress novels, so I was kind of afraid to try something new by her, but I'm not regretting it anymore! This book was fantastic! I've already read the second book as well as ordered the third. I think this is a must read for all paranormal readers out there! |
