| I was anxious to recieve the book becasuse I was going to start a project with a recycled mink coat I had purchased. When it did arrive, I was immediately put off by the lack of detailed pictures and steps provided to execute the listed projects. I found the instructions for the projects somewhat vague and realized that a lot of revision was needed in order for anyone to be able to follow what was going on. Unfortunately, I cannot judge this point with authority having served myself as an officer in the Army for a number of years.

| I haven't quite finished the entire book, however, what I have read and seen is excellent...If you are HITCHCOCK MOVIE FAN, this is a MUST-HAVE book...Lot's of photos on all of his movies, great chronological lay out and for the DIRECTORS OUT THERE [like me] great info on his approaches to each film given the constraints he faced from studios, product codes and others...I love behind the scene shots on movie sets...and this one has it's share...Can't wait to read more and finish it in detail... |

| I've read quite a few Oprah Biographies and this is one of my favorites. It focuses on all the main events that made Oprah who she is today and gives interesting details about her childhood. I especially enjoyed reading about how she spoke in churches at a very young age and how she managed to convince her mother to buy her new glasses. He antics were quite humorous and definitely got her mom's attention.
As you read this book you can truly get a sense of what it was like for Oprah to make it through a difficult childhood. ... Read More: |
