| This book is magnificent for toddlers! I have a hyperactive three year old who not only stays seated the entire time I read this book, he wanted to get involved with the storyline (act like the bear and get sleepy) futhermore he also requested me to read it 2 more times afterward! | We received the first "Bear Snores On" book as a baby gift years ago. Our only child is now six years old and everyone in our family can recite the "Bear" books by heart (I've even broken out with the rhymes at work). As Alaska residents, where folks routinely get mauled by bears within city limits, it's nice to put a friendly face on a potentially scary animal.

| I have been reading the Bear books to my daughter since she was a toddler and we have many books in the series. In "Bear Feels Sick", dear old bear feels poorly and keeps sneezing and wheezing. When his woodland friends [rabbit, mouse, mole, crow etc] come to visit and call him to play, he says he is too sick to play. So what do Bear's friends do? | Not only do I adore the illustrations and rhythmic text of these too-cute bear books, my 1-year-old daughter has LOVED them since the day I bought them (I got this one when she was about 7-8 months old). She makes me read them each 10 times a day, and she laughs every time when the bear sneezes in Bear Snores On. They are exactly the kind of book I would have loved to come up with myself. Beautiful work! We want them all! |

| I bought this book since we also own "A Frog in the Bog" by Karma Wilson. Since that one was a favorite, I thought this book was a shoe in. Little did I know, it would quickly become the most popular book with all 3 boys (5 yrs-16 mo). They love the colorful animal illustrations & the rhythmic flow of the text. If they hear me reading it to one boy, they come running & want me to read it over & over. THIS BOOK IS A WINNER!!! |

| I love to read this as much as I think my son likes to hear it (he's only 1 so it's a bit hard to tell). It's got a great rhythm to it and it's a book that I read almost nightly because I like it so much. |

| My wife purchased this for our 13 month old, and it has been a staple of their bedtime routine for the last 11 months. We'll catch her repeating some of the lines and performing the actions ("Yeah for Little Baby Cakes... Clap, Clap, Clap!"). The words flow with such ease, and the graphic images are simple for both adult and child eyes.
one recommendation - buy this in the stiff board book format (I'm not sure if other formats exist). If your kid starts to love the book, they might want to chew on it... |
