| Good Night Lullabies My two grandsons, ages 4 and 6, liked this book a lot. It appealed to their imaginations and the illustrations were excellent. The story loses a bit of momentun at the end, and lost the kid's interest a bit. But, overall, a fun book. |

| I really liked this book and bought it for my newphew, who is 4. I thought it was silly and somewhat unlike other books I had read. There are simple words or phrases that he can possibly learn to read. There are cute drawings in the book. It gets the imagination flowing. |

| My daughter loves "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" so I figured let's try it.
I am not sure she likes it as much as this is more of a learning tool then a story teller. The artwork is fun as she likes to look at the pictures. I will admit that she did try a couple ____est words as it was presented on the last page "The _____est thing in the world is ______" Overall, it's a good lesson book and probably not a bed-time book. |

| If you are introducing American Gothic and the artwork's parodies to a group of students, this is the perfect addition to your lesson. This is a fun and imaginative book, like Judi Barrett's other books, that takes the reader into this American Gothic parody. The students were so highly interested in this book that they want to write their own stories after they finish their artworks. I would highly recommend this book! |

But if you were over the age of 7 this book probably would not be a good one for you. It is a book about counting and rhyming. She starts with the number 1 and goes to the number ten. She writes a couple of sentences on each page and the last word in every sentence rhymes with the number that you are reading.
