The Long Halloween turns Batman into what he certainly should be, a pseudo-detective, dark, mysterious night-searcher. The mob theme is a universe which suits Batman very, very well, and the story mixes in the classic archenemies perfectly.

Basically, this is perfect for any Batman fan, and you should go pick it up.

Dark Victory expands upon The Long Halloween, and has a story interesting enough to please fans of Loeb's original Batman-mob story. Robin isn't played heavily, which is a good thing for me, but any Batman fans should pick this up.

The Scarecrow and Mad Hatter as real Batman villains, the way it should be! Not as filler characters as in other Halloween books like The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Only problem is they are short stories since there are 3 stories in this book. The last story sucks so much as Bruce Wayne gets visited by spirits of his past a la A Christmas Carol.

Unfortunately, this second volume of "Batman: Hush" falls victim to the same problems that usually plague the second halves of graphic novel series. In other words, the storyline is predictable and the action outweighed by tedious amounts of exposition, as though the author is trying to unravel the previous volume's mysteries as fast as possible rather than allowing the story to unfold more naturally. The artwork is still very solid, but I would have greatly preferred to sacrifice some of the mystery of Volume I (which is ... Read More:

Batman started out as a dark brooding vigilante who had no problem pounding the pavement to get what he wants. Loeb and Lee seem to capture that flavor in a somewhat convoluted and complex storyline involving yet a new villain who somehow manages to coordinate the lunatics of Gotham (Crock, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Joker, etc., etc.) In addition we have Catwoman and the strange relationship with Batman taking a new twist.
The story is quite complex. Batman and Catwoman team up to figure out the connection between a parade ... Read More:

Books : Absolute Batman: Hush
I fell in love with Jeph Loeb's story telling in Batman: The Long Halloween, it was amazing to see how he incorporated the villains of gotham city. And he does the same thing in Hush, and its still awesome. The story is good, but that doesn't stop it from being a bit run of the mill. Bunch of villains fight batman, nothing really unique. But i must say, I didn't buy the absolute edition for Jeph Loeb's story, i bought it for Jim Lee's art work. I'm a huge Jim Lee fan. His style is simply amazing. In all honesty, he is what makes this book absolutely ... Read More:

Hmm, i bought the Absolute Hush from Amazon not the Long Halloween but i did read the long halloween and the story is amazing, the second book Dark Victory is a good follow up as well, if you're a batman fan and haven't read this book you should, it almost like not owning your own copy of Blonde on Blonde.

This book is ok and would otherwise be horrible if it wasn't for the ever beautiful artwork of Tim Sale thus making all my reviews of his books to have a minimum rating of three stars if the story is horrible like this one. Selina whose secretly Catwoman is a moody lady (very realistic) and quite dreamy. There is a reason for this as she battles her moods and dreams to uncover the truth of her past, specifically the identity of her parents. However, this is not a Catwoman origin story as some people say since it does not explain how or why she became Catwoman. ... Read More:

The Age of Apocalypse satisfies the inherent "What-If?" cravings that most readers are prey to: what is professor Xavier had died and his dream along with him? The Age of Apocalypse answers this questions in the most dramatic way possible.

First off, the technical issues: as mentioned, although this is labeled Book 2 by Marvel, it is in fact "Book 1", with the actual Book 1 containing one-off or self-contained stories that are not continuous in the main storyline. You may pick up this book without the previous one and not feel like you just jumped in midway. ... Read More:

I already knew this comic book didn't include the actual comic of Captain America's death, but I bought it anyway. i actually enjoyed this comic. Some of the lines were kinda corny, but that's a comic book for ya. Anyway, I would recommend this book to any comic book lover.
