| I've just recently bought all of the Jan Green Why Should I? series and they are great! The books are easy to read for the little ones, not too much text is good, it goes right to the point, and that makes it easy for the children to understand. The illustrations are wonderfully colorful and will catch the children's attention in a heartbeat. | This book was a disappointment because we have Green's "Why Should I Save Energy?" so I was expecting more. I have a problem with my four year old running through the house flipping on appliances, all the lights, then turning all the faucets on, including the spigot outdoors. "Why Should I Save Energy?" got the message across... we don't do this because electricity is generated from fossil fuels, and that's polluting and expensive, so we want to use as little electricity as we need to. | It's a cute idea, but the very short book doesn't have much substance. I was looking for more "meat" to explain outdoor manners to kids on a more environmental scale. Lots of cute illustrations, though. |

| Great pop-up book for kids. My 7 year old loved it. Well written and informative. Great if the child already knows some about mummys and Tutankhamun, but a good visual book. The pop ups are a bit fragile and some are a little difficult to open at first. Not reccomended for little children. The pop ups are easy to tear and break. |

| This is a good introduction, although it does not offer a lot more than the introduction by Howard Hibbard. I prefer it to the one by Linda Murray in the World of Art-series. The book by Hughes offers a more balanced view on the works it describes, in the way that it usually gives several opinions of other writers, then sometimes gives a preference for one opinion in particular, but also sometimes states that there is simply not enough evidence to substantiate the views of other writers.
