| I taught mt daughter to read 36 years ago, when she was 3 years old, using this book. It works. The author explains the biological reason why children generally cannot read, until they are older, and gives practical, detailed ways to overcome the physical limitaions preventing them from learing to read earlier. Thanks to early teaching, and exposure, my daughter still loves to read. |

| I taught in Japan in a highly competitive school for children under the age of 5. We used the Gentle Revolution and were amazed by the results. Not only did the children recognize words by the age of 2, but also they could read at the second grade ENGLISH level at age 3 - 4. Keep in mind these were children whose parents did not speak English, in a culture that was completely in Japanese. | Some friends gave me this book and explained the system to me when my son was only a few months old. I learned soooo much! My son loved doing the "bits of intelligence" more than playing with his other toys, starting reading when he was 4, and more importantly got a real LOVE OF LEARNING. He just graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School and was the Valedictorian. He got a 2350 on the SAT, was accepted to 3 Ivy League colleges, and received a full scholarship to Vanderbilt. | This book seems to have been written in order to sell the three previous books by Glenn Doman: "How to Teach Your Baby to Read", "How to Teach Your Baby Math", and "How to Give Your Baby Encyclopedic Knowledge". Apparently you have to buy these three books instead of this one. This book is the most verbose ingratiating introduction I have ever read and won't give additional value or new information.

| After I read all of the great reviews on this book I thought this would be the perfect thing to help me teach my 2-year old daughter some early math skills so I rushed to buy it. I read the book completely before trying it out and a lot of what is written in the book made sense to me. I agree with the authors on all the points that they make about how babies have the capacity to learn math skills at such a young age.
