| I run agility with my dog, Katy, and she is a l00 times faster than I am. I am really holding her back by trying to run with her. This book is an easy read with great directions and with a little practice, I am sure Katy will happily be running much faster "at a distance" from her pokey handler. |

| With years of experience in training working dogs, I have decided to try Agility for a break in the routine! I thought this book would be good, but, alas, it is way behind in training techniques. I was quite put off by the mis-information, and in some cases, harmful information given. Very dissapointing. The author probably does have great depth of knowledge on the subject, but needs to attend a few up to date classes in dog communication, Operant Conditioning, or training in drive (all quite simular in application) ... | My son loves this book! He can recite it to us, we've read it so much. It is a cautionary tale, but not in the creepy Hansel & Gretel sort of way. It shows how "mommy ducks" can get frustrated with "little ducks" when they don't listen. Daisy is never really in danger... and I think a little anxiety is good! This book has helped my son understand that he needs to listen to Mommy & Daddy because they are always looking out for his safety. | Well, the last Daisy book I read ended in "Hello, Daisy!", "Hello, Granny!" so I'll admit I wasn't ready for some of the issues in this book. Specifically, there is a suggestion of surrogate mothers (the Aunt is sitting on the egg instead of the mother of the egg) as well as the possibility of a pregnancy that doesn't end happily. In this case, the egg doesn't hatch and the Aunt and Mother abandon the egg ("Some eggs just don't hatch" says the Mother Duck). Daisy doesn't give up. She sits on the egg and it hatches so we have our happy ending.
