| Why I liked this book: This is definitely a page-turner and a true sequel in that you have to have read Without Reservations to understand how Remi is a new wolf and the type of man he was to his friends. Learning about Remi's past, his present and being uncertain about his future is as scary for the reader as it is for the characters. | Why I liked this book: Though the character development could have been better, in this book I'm kinda glad that the author didn't waste my time in giving me a lot of back-story on either character. You learn about their pasts through their courting. I like that the dominant wolf is actually the bottom in this book and though he oozes power (the other wolves feel it instantly but his lover doesn't) he not only controls it well, but manifests it only when necessary.

| I'm new to this Genre, and this is the tenth book I've read dealing with M/M love, sex, romance, passion...all the yummy stuff and I have to say that I LOVED every word on every page. I found myself laughing and crying with these characters. The author is gifted in a sense that she brought EACH of her characters to life, giving them all very different personalities. Ethan and Jamie are more than lovers, they are partners in life and that makes the plot more interesting.

Langley is to be commended for attempting to blend several disparate elements--the Regency period set in the distant reaches of space, historical science-fiction, spy versus spy, male/male romance and no-holds-barred erotica--into one rip-roaring novel of adventure and unlikely love. It's a brilliant concept. Both Englor and Regelence were deftly woven and richly imagined. | This book revisits characters introduced in the author's novel the Tin Star. I preferred that book over this one, but it has nothing to do with the quality of the writing or story telling. I simply liked the main characters in that novel better than the leads in this one.
While this book was not exactly my cup of tea it was exceptionally well written and I still enjoyed it immensely. |

| Sad to say, I was rather disappointed by this book. Maybe it's a personal preference but I think the vague descriptions offered more than the book itself.
Eros Rising wasn't bad but I found myself skimming the page. Not a good sign as I could see dead ahead where the plot was going and how it would end. I think I should have skipped Cafe Noctem. I guess I was expecting... I'm not totally sure actually. I can't find the words but I sure didn't get it.
