| These are good for children maybe 7 or 8 years of age up through maybe 10. They use words that are too foreign, and the stories seem a little disjointed to a reader unfamiliar with figuring out WHY things in the story are happening. |

| If you have Mandarin speakers in your house and are trying to teach a child Mandarin, this is an excellent book. It's pretty enough to hold my two-year-old's attention. I've found a few incorrect tones and several odd translations, but it's mostly high quality. I'm very pleased.

| I checked this book out from the library to use with my children. For vocabulary, it seems to be the best thing currently out there, and I appreciated the internet link, so I could hear words I wasn't sure how to pronounce. I have since returned the book, and do not desire to buy it. Many of the people illustrated in this book are portrayed as being annoyed, malicious, angry, etc. This includes the family grouping, where the brother and sister are glaring a each other, and the mother is glaring down at them. | I purchased some of these Bibles for a ministry as prizes for First graders through third graders to pick from. They enjoyed them and we were impressed with the pictures and colorful covers. |

| this book is for someone who already knows a little about the language. it does not include pronunciation of the word in arabic so you just have to take a guess...unfortunately they are not always pronounced how they are spelled....same with the hebrew one... |

| I purchased this book for my three year old. She loves the pictures and we play find-it type games with them (ala - Waldo). The only real downfall is that while the Spanish words for many of the items in the picture are around the edges of each page, no pronunciation is included. I'm sure that's no big deal for parents who already speak Spanish, but unfortunately, I cannot read the words to my daughter since I don't know the Spanish rules for pronunciation. | I've been learning German for a few years now, and this is a great book. I'd like to emphasize it's excellent for adults and children, particularly. Don't let the colorful drawings fool you into thinking its just for kids. A very handy book! |

| I first found Then and Now on a booklist for Sonlight's homeschool curriculum (for pre-K). It's a great help in teaching kids about the changes in society over the year. My 4yo son really enjoys looking at it and finding the differences between the pictures of "then" and "now."

| I love this book, and so does my oldest son! He has always hated storytime and reading, preferring to do more active things. But when I bought this book and showed it to him, the illustrations captured him and he actually sat still and looked at it for awhile. Then when I showed him that he could find the hidden ducky on each page, his interest grew exponentially! He was 3 years old when I first brought it home, and at nearly 6 years old now, he still preferes this book to all our others. But, the difference is that now, he loves other books too! |
