| I liked how this book gave many detailed graphs to help explain the concepts. My only complaint so far is how it vaguely explained to apply the Divergence theorem and then gave a pretty ambiguous picture that was pretty worthless to understanding what exactly it applied to. |

| Well, I was undecided about pure or applied mathematics.
I was more thinking of applied mathematics. I took a course that uses this book. Two weeks after the class began, I dropped the course, and I knew I am a pure mathematics guy! (so the stars are for letting me know about what field I like, not the material presented in the book). | The book is a very in-depth look at the foundation of Calculus. It also extends into the sections of vector analysis which is used in many series of collegiate classes. In all, it is informative to the attentive reader. |
