The book helps teach the days of the week, various foods and numbers as the catepillar winds the way through the week before the transformation into thee butterfly. Superb illustrations and colors are appealing and my children as always entertained by this book. |

| The 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See' book was recommended to me by both my 4 year old daughter's speech therapist and her teacher. In town just this book alone was priced at 7.95. I found the set here on Amazon.com and the price was just too good to pass up! All three of these books are great for helping teach proper sentence structure and pronoun usage with I and you. | This book was much smaller than I expected (I bought the hardcover edition). It's about the size of my hand. The story disappointed me too. It starts out fine, but you're left hanging at the end. I don't think I'd have bought it if I had read it in the store.

| I don't think I've ever quite understood the whole Eric Carle thing. Still, I have to hand it him that his paintins are incredible and the books are simple enough one can force a dozen school lessons from them. This particular one gives repetition to the "I can" phrase as kids imitate the movements of various animals--that's a fun side effect. |

| We have been picking up Eric Carle books to help with our four year old daughter's PDD and speech challenges. The repetitive sentence structure is really a delight for her as she gets to read the parts that are the same from page to page, yet each page features a different animal which keeps this book from feeling monotonous.
