| I have owned this blender about 6 months now. I make smoothies, and diet shakes with ice. It works wonderfully. No chunks of ice, fruit. Blends very smooth. It has only 2 speeds, but you won't need any more than that. I alternate the speeds when crushing the ice in the shakes/smoothies. It is VERY powerful, so it is loud, but it isn't on that long, so don't worry about the noise, because it works very fast.
