- MAC ME IS AWFUL!!! WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY TIL APPLE GETS THEIR STUFF TOGETHER!!!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE. IT IS TOTALLY UNRELIABLE AND COMPLETELY UNSUPPORTED BY APPLE. SINCE ITS LAUNCH IT HAS HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. EMAILS LOST, NO FUNCTION. NO EMAIL FOR 5 DAYS ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS SINCE JULY 18TH AND WORST NO SUPPORT FROM APPLE. IT IS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT. SADLY A TOTAL MAC FLOP.

What really bothers me is you have no way of contacting Apple and there is nothing mentioned on their website about this problem unless you really dig and they say that it is 1% of users affected. How long can it take?

Mobile Me is a failure. I have been, and I am not the only one, without email for 5 days now. The servers that deliver your email are broken. There is absolutely no support and no statements coming from Apple as to why this is happening and how many thousands of us are really affected. You will be paying money for nothing. You have been warned, consider this purchase carefully. Go to the Mac Support forums for Mobile Me and read this incredible tale of failure from MobileMe members themselves.

Do not buy this product until Apple fixes it. Not only is the system unstable and unreliable but MobileMe forces you to use a new email address at MobileMe rather than synching and pushing emails from your current addresses. It's unbelievable that Apple thinks no one will mind changing email addresses. How about those of us with custom domains that are tied to a long running business? It's just so wrong headed and not at all what we've come to expect from Apple. Let's hope they listen to their customers and quickly remake MobileMe into the product it should have been at release!

I was a happy and proud subscriber of dot Mac. Everything seemed so easy back then until MobileMe came into the picture. I don't want to go through the experience again. The transition from dot Mac to MobileMe was horrific and caused me undue stress. Technical support is nowhere to be found and if ever you get to them, don't expect a resolution. Faulty product, not worth your money and your sanity. Buy at your own risk.
