Tools & Hardware : PUR 2 Stage Water Pitcher Replacement Filter #CRF-950Z

This is the first set of replacement filters that I've purchased for my PUR Dispenser (DS-1800Z). The original filter performed flawlessly for 2 months, filtering about 1 gallon of water a day. The first thing I noticed about these replacement filters is that there's a small hole in the top. A note in the box reads, "... a design change has been made to this filter. You'll note a small hole in the top of the filter. This is to help water flow through the filter and does not affect contaminant reduction of your PuR filter." Well, after 1 month of usage (about 1 gal. of water/day) it now takes about 8 hours to filter a gallon of water. Not sure if I received a bad filter or this is the result of their "improved design". I called their 800 line, explained the issue, and was offered a voucher for a replacement filter.

I brought a PUR pitcher to Hungary eight years ago and have been consistently buying and replacing the filters. The quality and price of this 3-pack of filters is great. The only thing preventing me from giving these PUR replacement filters 5 stars is the lack of moving replacement indicator.

These filters cant be beat. Ive tried others that claimed they were just as good and were not. I couldnt find a better price than at Amazon. I qualified for free shipping and it came quick. Great product and great service, what more can you ask for?

These 3-pack filters were really cheap at amazon as compared to local BM stores. We have been using Pur for over a year now and have been quite happy with them.

This product doesn't use the traditional dial that tells you when to change it but it comes with a sticker and reading a sticker is as easy to me as reading the top of the filter itself. Anyhow, it didn't fit just right but I managed and it still does a great job filtering. Hopefully they'll get the size right and it'll fit better. Besides those two things, it's completely fine.
