I have been using Alli since it came out. I don't need to loose weight but are using it to keep weight off. I lost 54 pounds on another product over a year ago. I also suffer from Migraine headaches and a great side effect of it is since I have started taking it, I suffer from less migraines. This product will only work for those COMMITTED to loosing weight. I have head of many people taking it and thinking they don't have to exercise or actually diet.

I am a doctor and i've been using this pill myself for awhile now, starting when it was still by prescription only. I recommend it to my friends. I cook my own food and don't really eat a lot of fatty foods, but occasionally, that slice of pizza at a lunch meeting looks really good and I can eat it and know that the fat will not end up in my thighs, but in the toilet. You do have to be cautious and the more fat you eat, the worse side effects may be, that is more diarrhea and flatulance, occasional abdominal pain, relieved by going to the bathroom and the way you know it works IS when you have consumed more fat in a meal because you'll see it actually leak out. Yes, its gross, but hey, that is what it is and how it works. But bottom line---it does!!! It is what we've been asking for, to eat fat and for it not to go to our thighs! So you have to pay some sort of a price, I guess.

I have only taken this product for a month but already I have seen some changes. I am that typical apple shape and that seems to be dissappearing. However, it is most important to use this product along with an exercise regime. I had been sedentary for a while due to a bad back. but I got myself a good exercise bike and am doing an hour a day. ( I worked up to that amount of time)
As long as one keeps to a low fat diet, the gastric "events" shall we say are not problematic. I am happy with how this product is working for me right now.

just like everyone else says, it is not a miracle drug. for me it is a psychological thing - eat bad now, pay later. it helps you realize just how much fat is in the foods we eat, and the realization is what they so nicely call "treatment effects." it's a learning experience, and is producing nice results for me. i've been on it for about 3 weeks and have lost 5 pounds. a slow, consistent loss which is a result of adjusting your diet and exercise are key to keeping off the weight. i'll stick with it.

Rating: - Alli is great!
A few years ago, I used another type of fat-blocker (a prescription medicine) which worked fine but made you have to go to the bathroom RIGHT AWAY! There wasn't much time to look for a bathroom if you were out shopping. Alli blocks the fat but doesn't make you have to go to the bathroom immediately, or if it does, it's not "unbearable."

I find that it blocks the fat for me, plus it helps with bowel movements. I know this sounds kind of gross, but it does work! I feel much better when I use Alli after eating a high-fat meal. You can't use it if you're eating raw vegetables (with no dip, etc.) or any non-fat meal. It's not intended for that. Since I don't eat 3 meals a day, the 120-count size bottle lasts longer. You must remember to take it when you begin eating the high-fat meal, or it may not work or it may take much longer for it to work.

I recommend it very much. When I get low on the 120-count size, I'm ordering another.
