Apple Mac OS X Version 10.5.1 Leopard
I knew I needed an upgrade to stay current with Apple offerings, but was very pleasantly surprised at the changes and improvements built into this retail copy of Apple's current Leopard operating system.
Examples include:
Improvements in wireless connections. I can more easily manage my connections, and they seem more stable. No more "Weak/Strong/Weak/Strong" antenna signals; easier connection setup and managing my wireless connections. Base Station admin is improved too.
Cover Flow is an amazing way to look at and find files on my hard drive.
Quick Look give me the ability to see a file and it's contents from the finder. It blew me away! (Select the file, press the space bar, and a small readable preview of the file opens without waiting for the application that authored it. Every file type can be viewed this way. Imagine how much faster it is to find a file you want without the delays in starting an app and opening files labeled with odd names that may not tell you if you have found the right one until you see it.)
Time machine is an infinitely easier way to manage my safety backups. I really was bad about backing up before, but now it is really easy to do.
Connections to other machines on a local network are also very easy to set up... right from any opened finder window.
Also Apple sends me frequent "Tips" emails describing new features of Leopard that might make my life easier, and they really do.
All in all, this has been the most productive upgrade I have purchased from Apple since I upgraded from OS 9 to OS X10...
There are tons more features but these made my upgrade worth the price.

I am kicking myself for buying Leopard. Great back up system? Right. First I have to shell out more money for an external hard drive to use it. iPhoto? Forget it, it doesn't work with Leopard -- it requires an expensive upgrade. Upgrade, upgrade, more money, download this, download that, long discussions with tech support, etc., etc. If you are a tech person with lots of money and time on your hands, then this product may be for you, otherwise, forget it.

This Seller sold this for an incredible deal. The product works fine and was well protected during shipping. But there was a down side, the product arrived an entire week late.

I admit to being biased on this subject, having worked at Apple for 4 years back in the '90's, but OSX V10.5.x, is far and away the all around best operating system in the world today, bar none. Spaces, Time Machine, memory utilization, it all represents a new state of the art in personal computing. If you're hesitating on upgrading, don't! It's worth every penny!
