I think this knife must be the best knife going in this price range. It was difficult to find in brick-and-mortar stores, which is why I ordered it from Amazon. I can't afford the $200 chef's knives, so when I heard the glowing reviews of this one and saw how cheaply it could be had, I was thrilled. It's definitely the best knife I've ever had.

This is the best knife I have ever used. Its extremely sharp and lightweight and doesn't cost a bomb. The cutting is butterly smooth and there's absolultely no strain or effort needed on your part. I finally found the perfect knife. So folks , if you are still thinking of buying one, hesitate no more, just go ahead and buy it. You won't regret it.

I bought this knife due to cooks illustrated recommending it. It is as promised. very sharp, feels great in the hand, and goes in the dishwasher. once I got this I knew just how dull my other knives had become!

I didn't realize how big an 8" blade was until this knife arrived, approximately 11 1/2" overall. My concerns were assuaged by how really well this knife works. Just watch where you put your fingers!

I ordered this knife based on the great reviews it got here. I was disappointed. The knife was not particularly sharp when it arrived, and sharpening it has not helped. It is unwieldy and cheap feeling. I have a slightly smaller chef's knife with a heavier handle that is vastly better and not much more expensive. Do not recommend.
