- Great book series for elementary level readers!
Do you have a reluctant reader? I can't recommend this book series enough for typical elementary age boys! I've never seen my 10 year old with his nose actually in a book, but this series did it. Jeff Kinney is a genius, and I'm grateful for his writing efforts. We can't wait for book 3, book 4, and so on! This is the first book series that my 4th grader actually read on his own. In his words, "I think these are funny, hilarious, and filled with great characters." Take a chance on these and chances are, you won't be sorry!

Proof the formula works twice, look out Grisham. Another referral from my son and another enjoyable, and at times, hilarious recounting of MY middle school years. And I thought writing my name on a table with an alcohol burner was funny.
You forty-somethings out there put down your tired Grisham, cheesy Cussler, or old, but good Clancey and read this. It's only a night and you will enjoy it. And you might even develop an additonal bond with YOUR son or daughter: priceless.

I bought this book for my 8-1/2 year old son. It is the follow-up to the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. He read it cover to cover 3 times in a row and re-reads it quite often. It is a hilarious book!

My son loves this book. I always have him read 30 minutes each night before bed. Every night I have to remind him to read and after he starts reading he asks if his times up every 5 to 10 minutes. With this book he asks me if he can read now and when I tell him times up, he asks if he can read for a few more minutes. There are two books in this series and he loves both.
