- Preschooler & toddler love this book
My preschooler loves to "read" this book (he has it memorized) to his little brother. It's not the most exciting book to read as a parent, but the kids love the repetition.

This is the favorite book of both of my kids. They are a little old for it now but when they were under 2 it was the best. We have a few copies of it... and will pass it down to the next generation. LOVE it!

There's a reason why this is a Classic... it's a book that any child will love. We started reading it when my son was less than a year old, and it's still one of his favorites now that he's almost 3. The pictures are in vivid color and the rhyme is simple. His favorite page is the last one, where he likes to point around at all the animals and see how fast I can name them for him. We also like to flip through the pages and make the sound of each animal, instead of just reading the story. The board book version means even the littlest hands won't harm the pages, so it will be in our home library for years.

This picture book has a multitude of identifiable images that is
appropriate to readers. Children will love the text and repitition of words which will keep them engaged. The overall theme of this book relates to colors and animals. This is shown within the illustrations, which are bright. The colors that are used within the story help to create a sense of high-energy not only among the images seen, but by the readers as well. Overall, this is a great book to have. It will keep children engaged, as well as wanting to read it more and more.

she never gets tired of it, she is 7M old and keep asking for us to read it to her over and over for the past 2 month.
She loves it when we make the animal sounds for each animal.
