 Rating:  - Good for NovicesUbuntu Linux has excellent hardware support. However, Ubuntu Linux is somewhat 'stripped' of 'true' Linux. Ubuntu is nothing but GNOME interface and to my knowledge isn't 'super stable'. However it's more stable than any Windows system. Hell, if you wanted you can have an Apache webserver up and running in 2 mins. Ubuntu is a very good Linux OS for the novice...
