 Rating:  - smoking fastI'm amazed at the photo quality and speed at geting the job done. I replaced a lexmark 5400 with it. That thing was a real dinosaur. Not to mention an ink hog. The ink cartridges are actually reasonably priced in comparison. It will not scan, period. And, in perusing various Mac Forums, this seems to be a common problem. Of course, I bought a bunch of ink just before I discovered this flaw. I need the scan to work due to my small home business. So, if you have a Mac and don't care about scanning, it's a very nice printer. Otherwise, forget it. It performs all its functions very well and is easy to setup and install its software. I especially like the dual paper feeds. I have been using it for two months and have had no problems to date. It's fast and the picture quality is wonderful. The size of the printer is bigger then I thought it would be, but I don't mind. I use it mainly for printing photos and I haven't been disappointed yet. I have notoiced that the quality of the photos turn out better if you use the Easy Print EX software that comes with the Canon printer.
