 Rating:  - Overall Good ProductThis bowl does slow down the eating a great deal, but once they get used to it they are able to speed back up a little. Overall it does slow down the eating and is worth the purchase. Rating:  - Great idea, less-than-great implementation.For our voracious medium-size Lab, the design of this bowl does slow her down a bit. The only problem is how light-weight it is. Unlike her previous ceramic bowl that would stay in place while she ate, this plastic bowl gets pushed all around the floor while she tries to get every last bit out. If they'd have made it of a heavier material (or if there was some way to weight it down) I'd have given it 5 stars for what it is. But unfortunately this great idea was implemented in a cheaper plastic way. Rating:  - don't stay in placeThe bowls slowed down the dogs somewhat when they ate. The one thing I didn't like was they slide too easily. After I bought these I found them at petsmart and they had rubber on the botten so that they wouldn't slide around and they were cheaper. Rating: - Didn't slow my dog down enoughEven when using this dish (and other competing products), my dog still had trouble from eating too fast. I consulted my vet and he suggested I use a dish with a stand that raises the dish off the floor and feed canned food or home-prepared food instead of kibble. I tried that instead of this dish and my dog hasn't had any more problems with eating too fast. Rating:  - Great product--really helpsThis has really helped with my dog's food obsession and gourging on her meals.......it forces her to slow down to eat and as a result her gassiness has decreased. |
