The air-cooled engine produces less than 67-decibels at 17 feet, making this generator an ideal choice noise is a consideration. An automatic shutdown function for when oil pressure becomes dangerously low is provided, and the alternator is maintenance-free for worry-free operation. The mounting between the engine/alternator feet and the base frame reduces vibration and improves durability, and the non-fused breaker protects against AC overloads. Thirty years ago we had never had a power outage lasting more than a couple hours. The past ten years it seems like we have a multiple day outage once or twice a year.
