I immediately ordered it and then decided to scan the reviews. I could not believe how negative the reviews were for this item. Well when I received it, I plugged it in, placed in a battery, the red charging light went on, and then the light went off. The charger was BROKE. It lasted almost two seconds! I contacted Ryobi. I tried to figure out how to see if the battery was okay, but the places that they recommended like Napa and Auto Zone did not know either. Rating: - Don't waste your moneyMy first one, which came with my cordless drill, died. I bought a replacement. It died. I will just buy a new cordless drill from a different manufacturer and save the future hassle. Rating: - Not good with older batteries !!Do not use with OLD batteries. If your charger died & your batteries are over a year old, save yourself some money and just get a new drill or whatever. Buying this charger will be a waste. Rating: - Battery ChargerThis product failed after one charge of my batteries!. I'm not sure who is in charge of their quality control but I would have thought it would have lasted longer than 1 charge. This also reflects upon Amazon since it is their name that has been tarnished. |
