To their credit, you won't find predictably shallow invocations of past country icons or any self-conscious, in-your-face down-home twang added strictly to remind the listener of the musical premise. In fact, Lost Highway isn't "Bon Jovi goes country" so much as a meaningful tribute to the Nashville ethos done on their own terms. They honor the spirit of the town through 12 simple, direct originals.  Rating:  - This is the one to buy!I have never been a fan of Bon Jovi. Of course, as a female, I have been fond of Jon Bon Jovi, just not his music, until now. Usually, when I buy a CD, I like maybe three songs on the whole album. Not this time! What a surprise from beginning to end. The lyrics are understandable, the tunes are great and I find myself singing the songs while I'm driving. There is only one song on the entire CD that I don't care for, 'We got it going on' but, I just skip it and keep on listening. I bought the CD strictly ... Read More: Rating: - Daughtry combined with Carrie Underwood - perfection!!If one of my favourite singers, hard-rocking Chris Daughtry of American Idol fame and one of my other favourite singers, Carrie Underwood, also of American Idol fame made an album it would sound like this! Every song sounds completely different from the other, despite some jealous hater reviews. You wish you could make an album this epic! Every song is played at a virtuoso-level of instrumentals, while Jon Bon Jovi's voice keeps getting better and better. He almost sounds as good as Chad Kroger from Nickleback! ... I loved listening to Bon Jovi in the 80's and now. I like that it does have a little Country in it now. I really like the song that he does with Big and Rich. Rating: - Good but not great album--and yes it is a little bit countryI was originally a huge fan of the 1980s Bon Jovi sound, so much that when the musically brilliant "Keep The Faith" came out in 1992, I was a bit disappointed that it didn't rock enough even though I played and knew that album inside and out. After that, Bon Jovi kind of dropped off the radar for me until their true comeback single "It's My Life" in 2000.
