I bought the largest size because my dogs have very large, black nails that are hard to cut through. I used it on one dog and the batteries had already died. You have to restart it many times in order for it to work correctly and the blade is so cheap that it couldn't get all the way through the nail without me having to use both hands to squeeze it.
