It started with the desire to get away from plastic and the prices that I found in stores just didn't compare. Everything arrived in tact and we use the containers for everything. I'll probably purchase another set in the near future for myself as well as others in my family. Rating: - Better than TupperwareI really don't like the plastic dishes for food storage. These are clear (as glass!), keep the food fresh and tasting better and can go right from the refrigerator to the microwave without fear of polyphenols. After all the recent negative news about heating food in plastic containers I wanted a set of glass containers for reheating food in the microwave. These have been wonderful. They seal very well. I pack them in my lunch for work and have never had a leak or spill. They also wash up very nicely in the dishwasher. The variety of sizes are great for all sorts of needs.
