 Rating:  - Timeless Nancy DrewConsidering that the Nancy Drew series is 78 years old, I would say that it has stood the test of time. If you're not into the original series from 1930-1979 (56 books in all), there have been many updates and additional series spawned from this character. You may think old when you see these books, but the stories are great, there's always a little edge of danger, cliffhangers on each chapter and it shows young ladies a strong, independent character with drive and smarts. The first book in particular was extremely poorly-written and would not be published today.
