| I resisted going to see this film at the cinema as it didn't seem like my cup of tea. But after a colleague kept going on about how great it was, I gave in and watched it. I wish I hadn't bothered. I really cannot see what all the fuss is about. Now, if you've read any other DVD reviews of mine, you'll know I do like superhero films, sci-fi films etc. But Transformers really left me cold. | These 4 adaptations of CS Lewis' Narnia stories (of which there were 7 in all) are wonderful pieces of nostalgic escapism and far better than the modern big-budget movies (which, aside from better effects are very shallow and lacking in that magical feel). OKay, some of the effects may look a little ropey now, but the BBC worked wonders with their budget and to give them their due, they managed to film stories that must have seemed pretty impossible on paper. | All I can say is WOW! this is one of the best films I have ever seen, none stop comedy from start to finish, especially in the character of clueless Morgan.
The whole muppet cat is magnificent. From this film I feel i have learn't a valuable lesson: the best thing about being a pirate is you don't have to wear a suit. |

| Upon purchasing this item, I assumed it would have the Easter Clubhouse Hunt (There was no episode guide on the back), however when watching this with my child, it did not. Good overall with the other episodes, full length and a great watch for kids. |

| I was excited to see this was a new release as my daughter loves the little einsteins. When we watched the dvd together I immediately noticed that the voices were not those we hear in the UK but the US voices. This confused my daughter as she could not understand how she could see but not hear her favourite characters. It should be made clear if the voices have not been dubbed. |

| This review is based on watching the "original theatrical version" (1977) which is on the Bonus Disc in this 2 Disc DVD.
There is stellar charm from C3PO, R2D2, Princess Leia, Skywalker, and Hans Solo. The pace of the film is also very good. The audience follows the story much through the eyes of narrators C3PO and R2D2. That, ladies and gentleman, is why this film is pretty innovative. Star Wars doesn't really become truly galactic until Empire Strikes Back. |
