| I first saw this beautiful and legendary film today and all I can say is, what a gem it really is!
The storyline is wonderful, the acting is truely unbeatable and "Kes" will make you both laugh and cry. Lynne Perrie who later went on to play Ivy Tilsley in Coronation Street, deserves recognition as a fantastic actress, I loved her in "Corrie", "Queenie's Castle", "Follyfoot", "Leeds United" and of course, her infamous appearances on "The Word" and "Shooting Stars". | I agree with the previous reviewer. This DVD is bits from other films, not well put together and does not hold the interest of the kids. I would suggest you spend your money on something else. A very poor buy. |

| This is probably not a masterpiece but it is a good film. It shows with some realism the hectic life journalism leads to. To be a journalist is to have a completely crazy life in which family, friends, regularity are dreams you cannot in any way respect or just entertain. That kind of atmosphere has already been shown and used in other films. | How many ant-themed movies have there been? The classic THEM! from 1954 remains the best of the lot (ignore dross such as EMPIRE OF THE ANTS) but, in all such films, the threat to Mankind has come from 'giant' ants, not the ordinary little squigglers that crawl all over our summer picnic. PHASE IV redresses the balance in favour of the seemingly insignificant and tiny.

| A very entertaining and educational film, with the help of the headteacher portrayed by morgan freeman brilliantly. A definate buy, with real issues clearly and effectively shown, with added comedy and at times tearful. |

If i didn't know better,i would have thought this was filmed by a couple of teenagers who got a camcorder for Christmas and supplied the budget themselves out of their pocket money. It looks like they have got a couple of guys from the local resturant to act as the V.C and the same faces appear in different scenes wearing their black pyjamas. Maybe i am being a tad harsh but i did fast forward at times just to get to the end quicker and my copy will now ... Read More: |
