All I can say is WOW! this is one of the best films I have ever seen, none stop comedy from start to finish, especially in the character of clueless Morgan.
The whole muppet cat is magnificent. From this film I feel i have learn't a valuable lesson: the best thing about being a pirate is you don't have to wear a suit.

I have reviewed this programme to try and increase the average after the stupid one star review from another reviewer. Star Stories was one of the few truly funny comedies from these shores in recent times. The humour is sometimes a little coarse but always finds the mark and the acting is suitably silly. Overall a good time to be had by all with the DVD set!

This film is a must for any ERASMUS student either past, current or prospective.

As already mentioned, the film acurately portrays the steryotypes of the various nationalities, and with it being in three languages, and with a mix of so many cultures, it works for everyone. I just watched it (in french) the other night with two other english people, a german and a chetch, and we all loved it.

When I first heard about star stories, I was admitedly intrigued, but after watchng just one episode, I was completly repulsed. The humour is petty, imature and genuinely and extremely unfunny. The writing is apauling, and realy dull, using humour you'd expect to find in the playground, relying on heavy swearwords to attempt to get cheap laughs. Anyone who enjoys comedy with even a slight twist of wit will be wise to stay well clear of star stories, as it is an embaresment to true British and even american ... Read More:

Oh my God, I loathed this film. It's the celluloid equivalent of a French exchange student in stone-washed jeans and slip-on shoes, carrying a really big, brightly coloured rucksack, and there wasn't a single character that I didn't want to punch in the head.

On some spurious pretext, a young French student (who has all the charm - and the hairstyle - of a Young Conservative party member) jets off to Barcelona for a year long ERASMUS scheme, where he flatshares with a mixed bag of Europeans - ... Read More:

A powerful and prophetic movie that explores the genesis of the 'penal services industry' in the US and Australia. The film makers present a nightmare vision of manipulation, coercion and control. A vision that's subsequently become a reality for the millions of 'unprofitable' people incarcerated within the now burgeoning industry.
Yet the shadows cast by the lives of the protagonists stretch far beyond the confines of the prison walls, and as we witness the calculated destruction of their lives we're left with an ... Read More:

I thought this was a really lovely and absorbing film. It very much captures what it is to be young and cute and get involved with older successful men (and I don't mean for rent). The scenes shot in Barcelona really evoke the city and the feel of a young American boy and his mum there as tourists - reminded me a bit of "Room With a View" as they went round with Paul being "tour guide" for his mum. Then the romantic secret relationship that develops with the older, successful concert pianist Paul Rhys. The film tends to suggest that ... Read More:

It was great to see all your old Muppet friends in a classic. The singing adds a new dimension to the story. Not that "Sixteen Men on a Deadman's Chest" is not good in its self. And the beautiful Benjamina Gunn added a more romantic touch. By the way if you enjoy the singing skulls you may also want to view the movie "8 Heads in a Dufflbag" with George Hamilton. The song "Cabin Fever" will have you singing along.

Talk about sophisticated dialog.
Benjamina Gunn says, "You left me standing at the altar!"
Captain Smollet ... Read More:
