| Season 2 of HBOs excellent 'Rome' continues on exactly were the first season finished. Caesar has been assasinated and the subsequent power struggle once again sets Rome towards civil war. Mark Antony and Octavian must fight for survival and they try to bide for time until they can extract revenge.
Once again the acting is hugely impressive and the characters are all deep, complex and highly enjoyable. This is a wonderfull production and its hard to find a better television series. ... Read More: |

| One of the better Disney movies released
at the price which i got it for (£7) it was a MUST BUY i think its a great adaptation of the original story of hercules with great music and hilarious scenes worth considering! |

| This epic film rightly belongs at the top of the Gangster genre as does 'Once Upon A Time In The West' in the Western genre. Call Sergio's final work boring, long, overrated, confusing, etc, then you've probably watched too many blockbusters; 'The Godfather' (Part 1) (the one with Brando) being one of them.

| I watched this movie in 3 instalments because it's nearly 3 hours long.
It was okay but the storyline and style of acting and actors were much like I've seen in countless gangster type films like this one.It was a little predictable and I think the fact that Martin Scorsese got the man who was writing the story as a book to delay finishing the book and help him write a screenplay lowered the quality.Screenplays usually work best when a finished and established book is adapted for the screen. |

| Having never seen the series before i was not expecting much, but this suprised me, at its best it was incredibly enthralling i watched lal 5 pretty much back to back. However no extras at all?!?! i just cant imagine what was going through the minds of the creaters when they called this an aniversay addition? I could have got a copy of the videos on ebay for 50p and just transfered on to dvd the quality would be just as good:( such a shame. I will recommend this series but not this set. |

| This film could have been so much better than it was. Not that it's a bad film at all - it's quite beautifully shot, all the roles are played with ease and admirable understatement, and it's played out to a hazy backing track that matches the adolescent yearnings of the characters perfectly. Most of the ingredients are there and the film is certainly easy on the eye and extremely watchable. | Really good value for three films that are sure to please the kids (and tbh adults as well). Yes the 3rd film in the boxset is a cartoon but that didn't stop my son loving every minute of each film within the boxset.

| If you hate horror films watch this one. There's nothing to be afried in Scary movie. From mickey of Scream to Saw, Charlie's angles to the ring, every film has a suprice. The chartacters are finny and scared stifless. To me David Houser makes a superb job. And if you are afried of laughing don't watch this. Scary movie is a comedy horror that you watch agaon and again and if you liked Sean and Marylon Willains in White Chicks you love Scary movie one, two, three and finally four. |

| I'd almost given up on finding this, I remember Oliver Stone mentioning he was working on this but then heard little else, I should have known it wasn't a priority release and arrived only on R1 very low key. Though I tracked it down on Amazon recently for very reasonable price. Any chance to see more of this superb piece of the cinema is a chance I'm not gonna miss.
JFK remains probably my favourite film of all time and Nixon is it's companion piece. Watching it again I think the gap between the 2 films has got smaller, Nixon is easily Stone's 2nd best in ... Read More: |
