| No point adding to what is already well cronicled in terms of the movie itself and the acting etc but be aware if you have the blu ray version of this that there are audio "issues" which have been documented on several forums of a/v experts.
The bass and special efefcts sounds pack such a hell of a punch that it could damage your speaker set up if you have a budget system - the other problem is the audio when listening to the actors speak - it is barely audible and muffled in many sequences and you ... Read More: |

| This is a very strong double pack. Christopher Nolan has done a stellar job with the reboot of this franchise.
Batman, over the years has taken a fair old flogging as a franchise. I used to love the cheesy TV show when I was a kid and was completely thrilled with Tim Burton's two Batman films which are still up there in my reckoning, the first one being particularly outstanding. | Given a five as the movie deserves it, but thought I had to write this to mention that because Amazon package this DVD poorly the box it comes in will get creased making it look second hand. Mine had huge creases in the sides of the cardboard.
That and the fact this limited edition is cheap and tacky. The plastic Bat Mask just feels so cheaply made. Save your money, don't buy this tatty thing get the normal DVD or Blu-ray release. |

| I'm Not There is an absolutely beautiful looking film with a superb cast all on top of their game. Unfortunately it is also practically impossible to watch as traditional entertainment; it is willfully confusing, has no linear narrative and is utterly pretentious. Ironically it brings to mind the type of self indulgent film that usually gets made by pop and rock stars early on in their careers (e.g. Pet Shop Boys equally surreal "It Couldnt Happen Here"). | I bought this film because I hadn't seen a Western in ages and I had some undying hunger to watch one.
This is in fact a remake of the 1957 classic 3:10 To Yuma [1957]. And for a remake, I am soooooo impressed. Crowe and Bale give amazing performances as each of their characters. I'm so glad I bought this film 'cause it's one which I can watch over and over again without getting sick of it. 5 stars all the way! |

| A great film that looks far sharper on Blu-ray than upscaled DVD. Some of the night scenes lack a little depth but it's not a major problem and doesn't spoil anything. Overall it's a great film with an excellent transfer, plenty of interesting extras, and great performances to boot. |
