I am a great fan of Friends and although this isn't the best season out of the ten the mayhem and jokes are excellent and still intelligent and witty. The first episode (The One With The Jellyfish) begins with a recap of what happened at the end of series 3 with Ross dating a bald woman but falling in love with Rachel at the same time, leaving him stuck between whether to choose Rachel or his bald lover. Also, Phoebe finds out that her real mother is actually still alive but Phoebe wants nothing ... Read More:

Charlton Heston will always be remembered as Moses and this old film is an enduring classic.

It probably can never be equalled even with all the modern CGI and special effects and to repeat myself, is an eduring classic of biblical cinematograpahy.

It's definitely one of my favorites of all time because it's got stuff that most movies don't have: Everything. MGM and company unintentionally created a work of popular art that could only be fully appreciated in its original, pristine print, 70mm, super widescreen glory. It is no longer possible to make a film like Ben-Hur. Oh, George Lucas tries with all his computerized graphics, but this is a REAL spectacle, not some virtual one. 8,000 extras, tens of thousands of costumes, a $15 million budget (in the ... What a film!. Everyone should watch & understand what we on earth might end up like.

This Film offers good acting with limited effects, offering none stop chilling action story from start to end.

The story allows you to wounder what Soylent Green is about, & why are the rich always better off.

I read most of the reviews before renting from Amazon offering good inside to this film.

Should you watch too, then yes. I would like to see this film played out ... Read More:

The biggest Western ever and not a single kiss passes between hero and heroine! - Ah, real men didn't stoop to the soppy stuff in them thar days. But we don't remember that bit. What we remember is that Jerome Moross music and Peck slugging it out with Big Chuck in two thousand acres of nothing to prove something or other. And something about a Big Muddy - these Americans and their mud-wrestling fetishes! Anyway, he rides the obstinate horse, right? - doesn't get lost, buys half of Texas with his sea captain's pension, ... Read More:

True lies is an action/comedy film that starts off like james bond but with greater emphasis on violence,it then treads into comedy before finishing off with hollywood blockbuster action at its very best, the film with that in mind can be divided into three, arnie excels in all areas.
True lies is a james cameron film, the budget is vast, the action exaggerated and it is all so frantic.
Jamie lee curtis puts in a good showing as arnies wife who is bored with the hum-drum of her life, arnie is a spy who never told her what ... Read More:

A 1970's film, this one, so the soundtrack, lingo and fashion dates it a little, but besides that it can be from any time. This is one of the many Sci-fi movies from the days when the genre was actually used as a medium to explore interesting ideas, not just pretend to or just outline them like it seems to be nowadays. A sanctioned rewrite of 'I am Legend' by the Corringtons, it changes quite a few things but leaves you with a pretty good experience.

Charlton Heston is in the lead role once again (two other notable films ... Read More:

DVD : Hamlet (2 Disc Special Edition)
For me Shakespear is about grit, passion and texture. Mr Branagh and his beautiful people just cannot do it - period. I had hoped his Hamlet would change my mind but this is a slick Hollywood-style production that - for me - did the Bard no favours. It is rather like a fruit salad that has been put through a blender, smooth and with no particular flavour. Personally, I like the lumps!

Ben Hur is my favourite film of all time and I have seen it many times since I first saw it as a schoolboy in Dublin in 1960. Naturally when the 4 disc version became available I got it straight away. Everything was perfect, the film itself, the earlier version and the extras on the 4th disc but the documentary "Directed by William Wyler" which was widely advertised as being on the box set is literally nowhere to be seen. I'm slightly perplexed as to why nobody (including myself I must confess) has posted this query since the box set was released 2 years ... Read More:

Firstly, this is NOT - EMPHATICALLY NOT - the 1958 original. The opening contains a rationalisation of the restoration process, the screen credits are removed, and - most importantly - Henry Mancini's magnificent score is removed. If this doesn't bother you, then this ranks alongside The Maltese Falcon and The Third Man as among the greatest films of the Black and White era. Film historians and Universal Pictures please take note *This film rightly became a classic before anyone "restored" it*, and it should be available in a 2-disc edition (Somewhat in the way Blade Runner ...
