| I just want to provide a bit of information that is missing from the product listing, which is of great interest to many people. That is, has the transfer of the Theatrical Editions been improved over the insult that was released last time? And the answer is a plain and simple "no". The Special Edition is the same fantastic transfer as we've had before (albeit with the same bizarre discolouration problems) and the Original Theatrical Editions are still not anamorphic. Why? | This review is based on watching the "original theatrical version" (1977) which is on the Bonus Disc in this 2 Disc DVD.
There is stellar charm from C3PO, R2D2, Princess Leia, Skywalker, and Hans Solo. The pace of the film is also very good. The audience follows the story much through the eyes of narrators C3PO and R2D2. That, ladies and gentleman, is why this film is pretty innovative. Star Wars doesn't really become truly galactic until Empire Strikes Back. |

| 'The Empire Strikes Back', the second of the "old" Star Wars releases, is likely to be the darker of the collection, yet at the same time, the most accomplished in terms events. Their are many well shot scenes that are so cleverly edited, and the early fight scene on the snow planet between the rebels and the empire is superbly shot.

| I watched this for the first time in a friends house on an ancient Beta video player in 1985. I enjoyed it and having watched it again recently for the first time in an attempt to understand why alot of grown men love Star Wars i was disappointed and mystified.

| Drop dead fred is an absolutly fantastic film. I can't even remember how i heard about it - i was born a year after it was even released - but whatever it was that sparked an interest only happened recently. I read lots of reveiws without having seen more than half anf hour of the film and found them all to be dissapointing, all pointing out the flaws and negatives - which, having bought it and now looking back, i cant seem to find in this film.

I've watched this film at least 40 times in my whole life. I still want to watch it sometimes and when I watch it, I still enjoy it. I am not the only one watched this film numerous times. | In spite of being an avid Dame Agatha fan, I found this film limp. Looking back, I remember thinking that it was not one of her best books. There was an outstanding cast. Poirot was played admirably by Sir Peter Ustinov. He was ably supported by Sir John Gielgud, Lauren Bacall, Hayley Mills, David Soul and a long list of other famous names. However, in spite of this, it lacked the usual sparkle. Admirable settings and scenery did nothing to lift it.

| I'm a fan of Woody Allen films because they're always laced with witty comment and insight into the human condition.This film is no exception but I found that unlike many of Allen's other films the narrative didn't seem to focus enough on anyone in particular (which is surprising given the emphasis on Hannah in the film's title)and that I didn't feel emotionally involved or sympathetic towards any of the characters being portrayed.

| My sister and I are reviewing this film as it is definetley one of our favourites.First is that anyone I know who has seen this film cannot help quoting from it comments such as "this is walter" and "what is that Slavic?".
What makes this film remarkable is that Tom Hanks leads the film and it is just not a Tom Hanks film.
