Just A Quick Note For Interested Customers,Is That This Release Seems To Be Region Free,Picture Quality Is Excellent.I've Noticed That A Few Stated Region 1 Disc's Seem To Coming Through Region 0.I'm Not Sure Why?Maybe With Blu-Ray Becoming So Popular Company's Like Sony And Warner Bros Are Putting Less Importance On Region Codes Which Is Better For British Viewers Without Multi-Region DVD Players.Hope This Review Helps British Customers.

DVD : The Poseidon Adventure [1972]
The original The Poseidon Adventure isn't exactly a film so good that it couldn't stand remaking. The first half hour before the wave hits is like a very badly written episode of The Love Boat, with painfully on the nose dialog ("What kind of priest are you?" "I'm a renegade! The very best kind!") and hideously stereotyped characters. In fact, truth to tell, it's a pretty pedestrian affair even after the ship goes bottom up: strip away its high concept and all you're really left with is a long, slow ... Read More:

"Do you know what this is?" asks the cook at the Little People's Garden School as she ladles a white liquid into bowl after bowl.
"Why, it looks like junket," says Ann Lake, who arrived minutes before to deliver her little girl, Bunny, to the nursery school.
"It not only looks like junket, it is junket...junket is junket. And no matter what you do with it, it still tastes like swill and swallows like slime."

This exchange is one of the many pleasures of Otto Preminger's Bunny Lake Is Missing...a ... Read More:

in contrast with the previous reviewer i really like this remake. I found it creepier, and actually MORE funny than the Bob Hope version. There's a fantastically catty, vindictive performance by Honor Blackman; Olivia Hussey looks fantastic and i mean what can i say about dreamboat Peter McEnery, (except when he has his mask on that is!) Oh but I'll tell you who steals the show: Wendy Hiller (who else?). Will you permit me a wee bit of pretension?, this is one of the best films I've seen about 'film' itself. The scene around the ... I watched a run of the 20 part series around 29 years ago age 10 or 11 on bbc2, today was the first time I'd seen the films and they built a good foundation to follow them up with another viewing of the series.
As well as the scary and the tense moments there's a lot of comedy, the banter bewteen kolchak and the rest of the office staff is great to watch especially vincenzo and the characters really grow on you. If your into hammer or any monster/ghost type films you'll enjoy these and the series.
It was great to be taken ... Read More:

Okay it looks ravishing but the script was weak and the acting is nothing like as good as in Peyton Place. Great that its available on DVD but it should have been much better.

I have always been a great fan of the awful sequel film, which in a number of occasions can better the original as they can be so much more fun, made on a much smaller budget and throw up acting has-beens who presumable are just in them for the money.this film is a classic on all counts and has possibly been watched by more people than the original and four previous sequels as it hit the bargain bins from day one. It totally satisfies as it does not pretend to be anything other than it is so the ultra creepy performance by Bruce Payne is ... Read More:

Before it became a long-running original television show, Fantasy Island was introduced to viewers in 1977 through two highly-rated made-for-television films in which Mr. Roarke and Tattoo played relatively minor roles. Airing from 1978 to 1984, the original series starred Ricardo Montalban as Mr. Roarke, the enigmatic overseer of a mysterious island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, where people from all walks of life could come and live out their fantasies, albeit for a price.

Roarke was known for his white suit and cultured demeanor, ... Read More:

I bought this movie on reccomdation from someonelse and was very suprised at how good it was. It has great some great talent in the cast as well, a young lucy lui, sadie frost and a very funny craig sheffer. The movie dosent really have much of a plot. Basically Lucy Lui is kidnapped by two criminals on the run from the law and one of is still stalking his old girlfreind(played by sadie frost, who is being protected by Craig sheffer) but towards the end of the film all of the characters get into some very funny situations, and the movie plays along ...
