I watched about 20 minutes of this film and then decided to go to my kitchen and chaw out my eyes with a rusty fork which proved a lot more entertaining than the movie!!

this film is brilliant, not quiet as high budget as the 2007 one but it is still very well made.rikki lake plays tracy turnblad very well and divine as tracys mum is sooooooooooo funny.i only wish the film had songs like in a musical that would really make it "the Bug!".

This has to be the best movie ever made. Just look at that stunning opening sequence. Few sights are as beautiful as seeing Robert De Niro prepare himself for another big fight. However, this is the calm before the storm as, in his best movie so far, Martin Scorcese shows us the the world of middle weight champion Jake La Motta, as the anger he uses to defeat his opponents in the boxing ring soon leaks out of him as he turns against the ones he loves. Scorcese brilliantly juxtaposes graceful and stylised boxing ... Read More:

The first 10 minutes or so I was convinced Across The Universe was mediocre at best. But then it found its footing and became something unique and, ultimately, very watchable. This is an absolute treat for Beetles fans and, I suspect, not so thrilling for those who aren't fond of the band. Still, on an artistic level I'd like to think most viewers could find something to appreciate.

A film like this is best viewed as a journey - don't try anticipating what comes next, just take it on faith that it'll lead you somewhere ... Read More:

The reviews on this DVD seem to be from the Live Aid DVD available elsewhere. This DVD is "Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid", the Live Aid bit lasts around 15 minutes and is Queen's set in the afternoon and Brian and Freddie playing "Is this the world we created?", there are also the odd interview and some rehearsal footage here, these bits however should be seen as "extras", the main event is the 2 concerts filmed in Montreal in 1981.

Any one who is a Queen fan, probably has the "We Will Rock You" video or DVD, well ... Read More:

This is excellent as far as it goes. Unfortunately so many of the songs seem to be cut short, so it ends up as a frustrating experience. Contrary to other reviewers, I think the black and white footage detracts from the stage presentations and is a pointless, 'arty' effect. The interviews are interesting first time, but on certain tracks if you jump past the chat, you also miss the music! The performances are great, and they have tempted me to look at other live concerts. Finally, at Amazon's price, with all my reservations, this is still a bargain and all ... Read More:

This concert is interesting in some ways. The amazing set and colours must be seen to be believed. The crowd is great as well, as are the band. The only problem is Bono's voice. Frankly, it's awful. From the sixth song you can hear it starting to give out, ruining Pride (In the Name of Love), With or Without You, and some others. Desire is a mess as well. If you want to see a great spectacle, get this DVD. If you want to hear great renditions of songs, get Rattle and Hum, Slane Castle, or Live in Sydney. This is the U2 that considered splitting the band up if their ... Read More:
