| You'll love this movie. I know I was not the only one to sit through it ticking off the blatant parodies of Peter Jackson's LotR films on their fingers. The rescues from high towers by flying... well, they're gryphons, not eagles (but you see my point) against a stormy backdrop of clouds, the defiant flight from groups of black riders across fords... | Casting is important for a film/story like this and the producers only got 2 of the kids right - Edmund and Lucy!!!! Peter looks too young and comes across as smug. Susan is simply annoying - constant moaning, blaming other people for what's going on - by the end of the film, you are wanting them to be turned to ice or better still, the main meal for Aslan.

| In 'Prince Caspian' we return to an altered and savage Narnia and more fantasy adventure to delight the family. You get great affects, battle scenes, talking animals and a pretty close rendition of the book. I have to say that I found this more enjoyable than 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' with the slightly darker elements to the story fitting the fantasy adventure theme a lot better. | Great film, enjoyed it despite initial misgivings about watching a 'kids film'. Not going to review it in depth since so many others already have on the DVD section.
The picture on the bluray disc is excellent throughout, which does mean that some of the more dodgy special effects are shown up - though fortunately not too often. For the most part the graphics are very good, Aslan in particular is impressive. The sound offers 5.1 and uncompressed. I could not get the uncompressed sound to work ... Read More: |

| I now know a little bit about mixing paint, other than that this was a complete waste of time, very glad I saw it on telly and didn't waste money on it, would rather watch the paint dry (after mixing it). Only gave this 1 star because you have to give it something |
