| This was a very understated and beautiful little film about Tinkerbell's life before Peter Pan and how her life evolves with all the other fairies. Tink is on contact a clumsy but kindhearted little fairy who has no idea what her talent is, she can't work with animals, nor with water, so what on earth can she do? Well you soon find out her talent and much more in this lovely, short and delightful effort from Disney. |

| three annoying americans seek to find the answers to their very bland lives, dabble with indian mysticism and squabble with each other. the film features odd and pointless scenes (bill murray's cameo), some embarrassingly obvious symbolism (losing all baggage towards the end of the film) and a soundtrack of hippie songs you've heard once too often. it's a bit like the writer of kindergarden cop got the task to write a 'european cinema' - and failed miserably. however, the film does merit one star for ... | This cringeworthy victory-lapping, high-fiving, aren't we all incredibly offbeat and wonderful blah blah-ing of an excuse for a film really riled me when I had the misfortune of watching it on a flight to America some years ago.
I'm sure it was a joy to film dahhhling and they had a lovely jolly on set but the result is not fit for human consumption. | ....which involves Pierce Brosnan hiding in the carcass of a horse which he has gutted. I kid you not! The film itself is fairly bland and becomes quite silly (hence the reference to the horse) which is the only part of this film which sticks in my mind due to the absurditity of it all. Many, many westerns are far superior to this so save your money. Brosnan's character committed a crime upon Neeson years ago which is why he is being hunted and all becomes apparent later in the film but it's still cack at the end of the day. |

| Recently at the school I work at they had this as their home-time story, which led me - a life-long Dahl fan - to re-read both The Witches and Matilda, my favourite Dahl books (as well as Danny the Champion of the World), and rent the movies.
It's said that Roald Dahl, by then close to the end of his life, cried when he saw this film of one of his best books (god knows what he might have thought of "Matilda"!).
