| There is so much to enjoy here. Amy Adams is sensational. Patrick Dempsey is cute. The set up (the Walt Disney cartoon opening, and then the characters arriving in New York) is a joy. It's a shame that it doesn't develop in a more interesting way. The story is very signposted with no real twists. It takes too long for Prince Edward and the Qicked Queen to meet up with Giselle, and so she and Robert spend a lot of time just mooning around waiting for something to happen. | With films such as this, I tend to refer to my children's opinion as much as mine because it is of course a DVD I bought for them to watch (they are of infant and primary school age). The 1980's politics, the characters, the CIA, and the Soviet-Afghan-US-Israeli-Saudi-Pakistani-Egyptian war make a story that really could not convince if made up. It would read as a very overblown Frederick Forsyth or John Grisham novel. As it is, the whole thing bears repeat watching very well. | I loved this movie. There is a depth to it that I did not expect at all. It is not about the brain damage either, but, about documenting a relationship that is built of stronger stuff than your average glossy Hollywood superficial sham.
There is a great deal of fun in the movie, laughs and Adam Sandler is great. Drew Barrymore is a bit sickly sweet for my tastes in some of the movie, but the thing that moved me was the effort that went in to the relationship in terms of Sandler actually working with imperfections. ... Read More: |

| i season 4 there are lots of ups and downs for the team. the personal lives of the csi's play a much bigger role in the stories week to week and most of the time not good. at one point or other one of the csi's is in danger of getting into big trouble. new faces at the crime lab especially DNA analyst bos vista but she isnt all she seems to be, what is she hiding???? brillant stories, great characters and the mind bogglingly beautiful miami scenery. |

| To be honest I have seen clips of Will Ferrell's films and thought they looked a bit rubbish so I never gave it any of them a chance, I'd never even heard of this one until oct 08, a mate of mine who's a complete film buff told me about it, said it was one of the funniest films he's seen. Coming from him thats a bold statement. I gave it a go not knowing anything about it and cried with laughter through nearly the entire film, I've since got Anchorman and a few other of his films (Anchorman is Quality!) and cant wait to watch them. 10/10. |
