DVD : The Agony and the Ecstasy [1966] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
There is no other film on the subject of art that is better than this one in my opinion. Irving Stone's best-seller was a great read, but in this case the film is better than the book. It centers on the creation of the Sistine Chapel ceiling, and the contentious but invigorating relationship between Michelangelo and Pope Julius II; one drove the other "to complete his work", and even their verbal battles were productive. It is about the courage of putting one's vision into reality, the hard work, ... Read More:

Great film.
Main language is NOT English, only one speaking language is available which is Italian then there are English subtitles.
I tried to add this to the 'listing correction' section but it does not change main language.

DVD : The Giant of Marathon [1959] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
The quality and resolution of this dvd is nothing short of atrocious.
Firstly it is in the wrong aspect ratio, and then it appears to have been
recorded off an old badly worn VHS tape!
Alpha Video should be hanging their heads in shame at releasing such a low
grade product.
The movie itself does have some reasonable moments,in particular the battle scenes which still look realistic nearly fifty years on.
Not one of Steve Reeves best movies and as a fellow boybuilder,he ... Read More:

DVD : Atom Age Vampire [1961] (NTSC)
This is an old film (black & white) and it's a horror film and I didn't find it scary.
I didn't jump once plus it's an old Italian film dubbed into English.
I don't know why they called it ATOM AGE VAMPIRE because there isn't any vampires in the film.
The special effects are good for the time and this is a really old story of beauty & the beast.
The film is worth a watch for a night if you feel like a night of watching old black & white films but it's not worth owning plus ... Read More:

DVD : Killer Creature: Bloodlust/Atom Age Vampire (REGION 1) (NTSC)
"Bloodlust" was a bit boring but watchable enough.
"Atom Age Vampire" suffered from the picture not being clear enough, (I know it's old, but surely the picture could have been remastered or whatever it is they do to old movies to clean up the picture quality) but the main gripe was that it was only around 70 minutes in length, when the original movie is 105 minutes! To add insult to injury, they show us a trailer for the movie showing segments that are missing from this version.

Surely someone ... Read More:
