DVD : Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo [1984] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
I really liked breakdance & breakdance 2 when released as I was into the breakin stuff then, and was in a crew, and had plenty of burns ! The music in breakdance 2 is fantastic, very 80's I know but very dynamic & different. The whole film is fresh, uplifting and has a reasonable story to carry the dancing along with it, even though its your typical Satruday 80's ChiPs episode storyline. A feel good factor film which doesnt take itself seriously too much ! definately worth a view !

How many films can nowadays hook a 6yr old boy into a perfect state of silence whilst at the same time giving him something to keep his young mind and body as active as it gets? Also ideal for the young at heart, as you'll find yourself poppin' and lockin' within minutes. Do I recommend it? Abso-Breakin'-lutely!

3.Ciao Italia [1987] starring: Madonna, Patrick Leonard, Jai Winding, Jonathan Moffett, David C. Williams
directed by: Egbert van Hees, Jeffrey Hornaday, Mark Aldo Miceli, Mitchell Sinoway

DVD : Ciao Italia [1987]
This is an amazing concert but unfortunately it looks like it's been filmed by an amateur film company on their first day in business! Compare it to The Confessions Tour and you'll understand what I mean! Also Madonna sings like she has a bad case of the flu, it's quite bad. Having said all this, the songs are great, the dancers are spectacular and it looks like alot of fun. Madonna also shows what a great dancer she is. I particularly love the spanish influenced section at the end.

DVD : The Breakin' Collection [2005] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
This a superb set consisting of Breakdance, Breakdance 2 Electric Boogaloo and Beat Street.
All on separate discs and they have a picture and sound.
Lookout for the first screen appearance of Jean Claude Van Damme in Breakdance as a background dancer (very funny) and the legendary dance off in the nightclub scene in Beat Street (just awesome).
Shame this is not available as a region 2 disc but to be honest it ain't really a problem with our multi region player now is it ;)
A must buy for the 80 buff.

To be honest, the first film looks as if someone has smeared grease over the screen it's such a bad transfer, but you have to watch it. The two sequels, with the same cast, are thankfully rather better.

As for the content, I feel this collection is more of interest from an historical perspective than for actual entertainment value, though if you like creaky black and white horror movies... The plot mixes reincarnation (the heroine is the mummy's once and only love), master-criminals (our villain is caped, masked and hat-wearing The ... Read More:
