| This is an excellent, clear introduction to Greek. I have found it much more enjoyable than other books (notably Reading Greek) where the texts for translation are very heavily glossed. It is wonderful to be able to read the passages without having to look up too many words. Also, despite what other reviews say, Part 1 does have an answer key which you can get free by approaching the publisher (instructions are in the introduction). | My daughter(20 months)loves this dvd so much that it's on more that once a day, she asks for it all the time. I think she especially enjoys the real-life images of children playing . I speak Spanish and am happy with the educational content. I think the music is a winner too, she does she!! |

| Having looked through many books of this kind in our local bookshops, this was far and away the best: accessible language without sliding into inanity, as many 'simplified' versions tend to; carefully chosen 'clips' from the King James version; excellent historical context and simply wonderful illustrations. | I gave this a low mark, as it appears marketed to adults. It's a kids book that older parents or grandparents would buy for a smart primary school child. It's not for adults to read, this isn't a nonfiction `Harry Potter' semi-literate people will enjoy. The style of writing suggests this is a book people should read aloud to their children. The book design isn't something that would appeal to an under ten year-old; I think parents will have to participate and help explain the difficult words then elaborate on facts not ... Read More: |

| I bought this globe for my 5 year old nephew. He was forever asking about different countries so I thought this would be a lovely way of letting him see the country but also find out what animals live there. There is also an accompanying reference book. At nightime it is used as a nightlight with a lovely ambient glow and this is when you get to see the sea creatures. I'm very happy that I bought this and happily recommend it. |
