| We found this book to be our daughter's favorite bedtime reading. A thoughtfull, well written and illustrated book, should be a classic for all children especially jamaican children. Highly recommended. |

| My kids (5 and 6) can't get enough of this book. The rhymes are irresistible and the drawings are funny too. My favorite is about the Ankylosaurus ('who moved with a clunk and a clank-ylosaurus'). Finally have to buy it as I'm feeling guilty about hogging the library copy! |

| Ella starts and ends the book as a prim little girl, but most of the book follows her secret life as a tiger by night and her adventures in space. This book is is so poetic with an easy, flowing style, and fun to look at too. It is one of my favourite stories to read to the children (3,5,7) |

| This book is jam packed with funny/ sad/ hopeful /silly poems which I really like. My favourite poem is funny and it goes like this:
`Tread on a leaf And you'll marry a thief. Tread on a slug And you'll marry a thug. Tread on a straw And you'll marry a bore. Tread on your lace And you'll fall on your face!' Filled with such great poets such as Wilfred Owen and John Donne, the book shows how the world has changed from pre 1914 and the world wars. The best poem by far is Disabled by Wilfred Owen, he discribes what the WW1 hospitals were like in so graphic words, it makes you feel as if you are there!!! |
