| My kids - aged 2 and 4 - love the original Gruffalo story and ask to read it almost every bedtime. There was initial excitement when I brought this one home. But after a couple of readings they quickly stopped asking for it. If I suggest reading it now, they say "no, we want the first Gruffalo story".

| Beautifully illustrated book with a catchy tune. Sing it once, you'll find yourself "boogie woogie oogie-ing" all the time. My niece and nephew loved the song (though they preferred my terrible singing to singing it themselves) and dancing to the music.
In addition, the children in the book are of different races and one of the girls is a wheelchair user. Wonderfully inclusive book! |

| Sounded good but way over my 6-yr-old son's head, not helped by strange illustrations (apes in human clothing) and some inappropriate use of language for this age group. Concept possibly suited to older child. Didn't enjoy at all. |

| This is a very good book. 11 large double pages of dot to dot drawings with typically between 4 and 6 different dot to dots on each double page. The different creatures are colour coded and there is some text naming and in some circumstances describing each animal (pedantic parents will be pleased to note that the book is explicit that dinosaurs are always land based - the flying reptiles of the period are pterosaurs and the swimming reptiles of the period are plesiosaurs). | This is a firm favourite with our daughter and it's a terrific read which stands up really well to repetition (every night for a week on one occasion). I love the language, so it's fun to read as well as to listen to. Highly recommended!! |

| This is a super CD and both my daughters (9 and 7) have found it really useful. We listen to a different multiplication table each morning on the long and rather tedious car journey to school and it has worked wonders in terms of their times tables. I can thoroughly recommend it (although adults will probably find it increasingly annoying and irritating with each listening!!). |

| My 18 month old son is completely obsessed with this book. We read it 6 times a day and he giggles constantly when he sees the poo on the mole's head! His Grandmother bought it for him and intially I thought it was ridiculous and that he was too young - but she was right (as usual!) |

| I had this out of the Library for months, my son, barely a year at the time loved the pictures, above all. We bought this recently, apparently for 4 and above, my son, now 20 months has this book as a regular favorite for bed time. He loves the amazing illustrations of the train (I make train noises to go) and points to all the animals as we go through. I only have to say 'oi!, get off our train!' and he's found the book and demanding another read through.
